Cookie policy
Last updated: 29 September 2026
Cookies and browser storage are small pieces of data saved on your device. Habitly uses as few as possible: no advertising, no analytics and no cross-site tracking. This page lists every one of them.
Necessary
These make sign-in and security work, so they cannot be switched off.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| gfy_tab_token | Session storage | Keeps you signed in in this browser tab | Until the tab closes |
| gfy_session | Cookie | Older sign-in method, cleared when you log in again | 7 days |
| habitly_consent | Cookie | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner | 12 months |
| gfy_user, gfy_survey1, gfy_survey2, gfy_onboarded | Local storage | Only on the demo page: holds the demo profile you type in, on your device | Until you clear it |
Preferences (optional)
Only stored if you allow preferences. Without them, your theme and language reset on your next visit.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| gfy_theme | Local storage | Remembers light, dark or system theme | Until you clear it or withdraw consent |
| habitly_lang | Local storage | Remembers your interface language | Until you clear it or withdraw consent |
External media (optional)
Some courses include YouTube videos, embedded through YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Until you allow external media, we show a placeholder instead and nothing is loaded from YouTube. When a video loads, Google may store cookies or similar data to play it and to limit abuse. See Google's privacy policy for details. You can also load a single video without changing your settings.
Changing your choice
Use the Cookie settings button on this page or in the footer at any time. Withdrawing a category removes its stored data from this device straight away. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser.
